Recently, a Beagle won as America’s top dog in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show 2008. The Beagle “Uno” became the first of his breed to become the top dog for almost 100 years. Beagles are known to be in the list of 100 popular dogs, but now it became the best of them all.

The crowd cheered wildly when the judge, J. Donald Jones, choosed the winner. Little did he know, he made a mark in the history of dog shows. It was a very hard contest for the dog Uno, he faced breeds that were well known to win(Two Poodles, Sealyham Terrier, Weimaraner, Australian Sheperd, and an Akita). He went from an underdog into a top dog.

His handler, Aaron Wilkerson, could not believe Uno won. But Uno did his job well of being the cutest in the show.

I find myself inside a local mall and was wandering around for stuffs that I need to buy. I took one particular item and went straight to the Cashier to pay for the item. I was expecting the price of this item to be around P60.00 because it was already my second time buying that kind of item, but I was shocked when the cashier told me that it’s worth is P364.00, Around P300.00 more than the price I expected. I demanded the cashier to check it’s actual price, but they insisted that the price is right in their computer. I canceled my purchase and went directly to the grocery of the mall. I saw the same item and checked it’s price, P65.00. So I was right all along. I hurriedly purchased the item and got back to that part of the mall to demand about their scam. I was entertained by one of their personnel and to my amazement, she only told me that “it’s much better that you buy that item in the grocery store sir”. I felt insulted by what she said, it’s good that I didn’t want to ruin my day and demand their management to fire her. So I left the place instead.

Lesson is, be careful of things you buy, even though you think you’re in the right place, you might still be victimized by these Price Scams.
